ABSTRACT
The natural agriculture system was applied by using organic fertiliser (bokashi), and empty fruit bunch of Elaeis guineensis Jacq as mulch (TKS) that has fermented with Effective Microorganism (EM). The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of three formulations of Fermented Plant Extract in increasing the growth of L. sativa, control of the pest and the content of vitamin C. A completely randomized block design was used with 4 treatments: (1) FPE Ocimum sanctum Linn, (2) FPE Marigold lemon Drop, (3) FPE Tinospora crispa (L) Miers, (4) without FPE. Each treatment was replicated 3 times and each treatment concist of 32 crops. The results showed that: the height of the crops ranged from 13,66 cm – 16,67 cm, fresh weight ranged from 20,53 g – 42, 89 g, width of the leaves ranged from 8,56 cm – 12,38 cm, the number of leaves ranged from 8 – 12,33 piece, intruder organism attack ranged from 7,34 % - 1,48 %. FPE Marygold lemon Drop most effective in increasing the height of the crop, fresh weight, width of the leaves, the number of leaves, and reduced intruder organism attack. The content of vitamin C ranged from 52,79 mg/100 g – 78,62 mg/100 g. The content of the heighest vitamin C was received from the treatment with FPE Tinospora crispa (L) Miers.
